Who: Everyone is welcome. Bring the kids, your neighbors, your neighbors kids (if you dare) the family dog... the list could go on and on.

What: Walk for Life is a leisurely two-mile walk, so you don't have to be in great shape to participate. There is no entry fee either. Many walkers will be walking as sponsored walkers, but we'd love for you to join us no matter. We'll be giving out free t-shirts this year and goody bags with a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich while supplies last. Water will be passed out at the one mile mark, and we'll have free chiropractic exams for the adults and a balloon clown and face painting for the little ones.

When: Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the walk will start promptly at 10:00... with a prayer first, of course.

Where: The walk will begin and end in the parking lot of Dallas First Baptist Church in downtown Dallas.

Why: As Christ followers, we're called to stand up for the rights of the oppressed and against the spilling of innocent blood. Who is more innocent than the smallest of God's image-bearers, the unborn?

In walking together for life, we are not only standing against abortion, we are connecting a problem to a solution.

We're saying, "There is a grave, moral atrocity happening among us, and we're not going to sit by and let it continue on our watch.

We are part of the solution."

Obama lied last night about funding abortion

There are many reasons to oppose President Obama's push to take over the nation's health care system, but among the most important is this one: his plan will put Planned Parenthood clinics inside your child's school.

Yes, you read that right. Under an innocuous-sounding section titled "School-Based Health Clinics," H.R. 3200 will authorize Planned Parenthood, as a "sponsoring facility," to run a clinic during school hours on the grounds of public schools, with absolutely no accountability either to parents or school administrators.

Clinics would be accountable only to the Secretary of Health & Human Services, the radically pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius, who was a fervent supporter of late-term abortionist George Tiller.

All this will be done at taxpayer expense. And unlike the rest of the bill, which isn't slated to go into effect until 2013, these clinics are scheduled to go into schools next fall.

As you know, Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion provider and the most dangerous purveyor of the mythical "safe sex" message which has deprived so many American teens of their sexual innocence and left them with diseases and unwanted pregnancies. Join the protest at Martha's Vineyard

Pro-life activists travel to Martha’s Vineyard to challenge President Obama on taxpayer funded abortions in his health care plan.

The group to remind the President that abortion is not health care and there is no vacation from human rights, social justice and the truth.

The activists will be on Martha’s Vineyard, Thursday, August 27.

The activists will be holding large banners saying “Abortion is Not Health Care” and “President Obama human rights begin in the womb…Protect America’s children.”

The events on Martha’s Vineyard are part of a national campaign called “Abortion is Not Health Care” sponsored by the Christian Defense Coalition, Operation Rescue, Expectant Mother Care and the Coalition for Life.

Tiller Gunned Down Sunday Morning May 31

Wichita, KS - It has been learned today that George Tiller was shot and killed while entering his church on Sunday morning, May 31, 2009

From this desk: It is a sad day when people take the law into their own hands. For years, prolife orgs have been fighting Tiller in the courts to bring him to justice for the years of late-terms abortions.

Operation Rescue releases the following statement attributable to Troy Newman, President:

We are shocked at this morning's disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down. Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning. We pray for Mr. Tiller's family that they will find comfort and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

The question remains:
Will this killing stop late-term abortion in America? NO! In fact, Planned Parenthood is reportedly working to open their seven story abortion complex in Houston Texas very soon. AUSTIN--The Texas Senate today gave preliminary approval with a 20-9 vote to SB 182 authored by Sen. Dan Patrick (R-Houston), which would require doctors performing abortions to make an ultrasound image available to a woman at least two hours before proceeding with the abortion procedure. The bill does not require that the woman view the ultrasound, but aims to ensure that woman are given what is necessary for a fully informed decision in regard to their healthcare and medical treatment.

The Senate voted to approve the bill on second reading. It is expected that the Senate will give final approval tomorrow. The House companion is HB 36 by Rep. Frank Corte (R-San Antonio).
"We are very happy to hear that the Senate has supported SB 182 with preliminary approval," says Joe Pojman, Ph.D., executive director of Texas Alliance for Life. "This is a good and necessary bill that will help enable women to make fully informed decisions about their medical care."

Early in the day, the Senate gave preliminary approval to SB 1098 by Sen. John Carona (R-Dallas) to create a specialty license plate with the message "Choose Life" to promote infant adoption. The House companion is HB 109 by Rep. Larry Phillips (R-Sherman).
