Planned Parenthood funding Election of ProAbortion Candidates
Pro-abortion political action committees, including Planned Parenthood and Annie's List (which only supports pro-abortion candidates) is aggressively working to defeat pro-life candidates. (As you know, Planned Parenthood runs the largest chain of abortion facilities in Texas.) Together these two have spent over $510,000 for state elections so far this year. Here area few examples:
*
Senate District 10 (Ft. Worth), $133,095 for pro-abortion Wendy Davis to defeat pro-life incumbent Sen. Kim Brimer.
*
Senate District 17 (Houston), 13,098 for pro-abortion Chris Bell to defeat several pro-life candidates including Austen Furse in a special election for an open seat.
*
House District 32 (Corpus Christi), $3,000 for pro-abortion incumbent Rep. Juan Garcia to defeat pro-life challenger Todd Smith.
*
House District 47 (Austin), $58,200 for pro-abortion incumbent Rep. Valinda Bolton to defeat pro-life challenger Donna Keel.
House District 52 (Round Rock), $81,114 for pro-abortion Diana Maldonado to defeat pro-life Bryan Daniel in an open seat.
* House District 102 (Dallas), $28,366 for pro-abortion Carol H. Kent to defeat pro-life incumbent Rep. Tony Gooslby.
*
House District 129 (Houston), $28,536 for pro-abortion Sherrie Matula to defeat pro-life incumbent Rep. John Davis.
*
House District 133 (Houston), $29,586 for pro-abortion Kristi Thibaut to defeat pro-life incumbent Rep. Jim Murphy.
There are many others.
If that is not frightening enough, Planned Parenthood has more than $115,000 in cash on hand available to attack our pro-life candidates and promote their pro-abortion candidates. Annie's List has more than $220,000! Those figures are based on reports filed with the Texas Ethics Commission a few days ago.
